Catherine and Sarah are both registered and practising nurses in the NHS and aesthetic sector, they started a new business to offer aesthetic beauty services to clients in and around Bishop’s Stortford. As a new business, they needed support in creating a range of high-quality professional marketing resources.

Website

We were first approached about website help and support, the client had a website built that was not working for them and had been struggling to get support for it and lacked any creative control over the site. We reviewed the project and determined that the most cost-effective solution would be to replace the existing site with a new bespoke website design.

This plan ensured that the client would have full creative control over the project, we worked closely with them to get a brief on what was required before creating a design draft for them to review. We created several variations of the design before arriving at the final approved design, this let us explore several design routes while also allowing the client to see what worked best for their brand.

The ability to influence the design process helped the client get the result they wanted and in turn, allowed us to create a much more effective website.

With the design approved, the next step was for our in-house developers to turn the design into a fully functioning website, based on WordPress (a powerful CMS), we built the website using a bespoke theme that matched the design perfectly and integrated responsive techniques from the start.

The result was a modern, user-friendly website that accurately reflected Catherine and Sarah’s brand and services. The website includes all of the necessary information for potential clients, including a list of services, contact information, and online booking capabilities. Additionally, we integrated a blog section where Catherine and Sarah can share industry news and tips, further establishing them as experts in their field.

Full training on using WordPress is given to all of our clients with new websites, which allows them to update the content directly. This helps to keep costs down when editing existing content or adding new content, such as blog posts or service information. Our WordPress help section is also a useful resource for WordPress users to get to grips with their new website.

The client was so pleased with the website design/development that we have undertaken more work for them ranging from updating their logo to printed marketing materials.

Hosting & Domain Name

Part of the project was to help the client resolve issues with their hosting and domain name, as part of the ‘going live’ process we reviewed the current setup and, when ready, transferred the domain names over, linking them to our hosting and email services. This change enabled the client to have a single port of call for any queries relating to their website, emails or domain name. We also took the new website as an opportunity to switch to the .co.uk version of their domain name which better fits their target market, we put redirects in place from the .com version so any visitors would still be directed to the correct pages.

This client had an existing logo, but it needed attention. The overall feel was to be enhanced and improvement on the typography was crucial. Various options were produced for the client to comment on, and after a one-to-one meeting, an option was chosen. This was then developed, creating the necessary logo design required for all marketing needs, along with a new colour palette including primary and secondary options for usage across the marketing.

We produced the logo so it could work in both portrait and landscape, and on a white background or coloured background. A primary and secondary font family was chosen that can be applied to all material for a clean, fresh, corporate feel.

Brand Guideline

A brand guideline was produced, featuring correct logo format options and usage, a corporate colour palette with CMYK, RGB and Hex colour references (these details cover applications for digital, print and signage), as well as font families and styles available. This information is all specified to ensure that the new brand will have continuity across the marketing mix moving forward.

A full set of stationery was produced, including, a letterhead, business card, appointment cards, vouchers, poster and leaflets. The letterhead was produced as a print file, as well as a word template, which ensures consistency, allowing the client to change personnel details and save as PDF without affecting design layout.

The marketing material designed for the clinical beauty room was consistent with the website and logo design, featuring the same colour palette, fonts and overall aesthetic. This cohesion is crucial in establishing a strong brand image and recognition.

During the design of the website and marketing materials we worked closely with the client to establish a brand image through the use of stock images, these were chosen carefully so they fully represented the client’s desired brand image but also worked well across a range of designs.

As this client is based in Bishop’s Stortford, meetings were held at our offices so they could interact with our web designers and graphic designers live on screen to see their new brand come to life, whilst trying different options and being able to judge and discuss as the journey progressed. Proofs were produced for selected items, to give the client an exact sample. These were produced in both matte and silk stocks, as a particular stock/material can add a different dimension in terms of touch and feel.
