Simpsons Creative was approached by Bishop’s Stortford BID to create the rebrand and a range of marketing collateral that is shared throughout the town centre and the businesses. They felt the existing offering was out of date in terms of its approach and didn’t reflect ‘Bishop’s Stortford’ as a thriving market town in visual terms, plus the existing website design was ‘busy’ and in need of updating.
Our original proposal was inspired by the ‘skyline’ of Bishop’s Stortford and comprised a selection of designs, including key elements from the town’s history, notable architectural features and the development of key colours and design elements used to promote Bishop’s Stortford in the past. The bright and vibrant colour palette reflected the excitement, buzz and lifestyle that is on offer in the town. The Simpsons Creative graphic design and web team also worked together a design to build a sleek, clean website and logo, with matching social media and printed marketing materials.
We created a clear typography element to the branding and highlighted the ‘FOR’ element of STORTFORD, to enable us to use this as an activity description as FOR retail, FOR business etc.
